Ever wonder what it's like to work as a software developer? This is it.

push --to-limit is an incremental game where your job is to write code, hire more people, solve incidents, and attend meetings. At first you simply push buttons to write code - eventually you automate your job by hiring other developers, while keeping an eye on tech debt and team morale.

Currently you can:

  • Write code
  • Read emails. Darn.
  • Hire people. Buy upgrades.
  • Review other people's code
  • Mitigate production incidents. See you in east-us-1
  • Attend meetings. Yeah. And you have to speak into a microphone.

This is an early demo prototype, so feel free to leave any feedback in the comments below!

Please note: For the best experience, please run this game locally. The WebGL version has font display issues and doesn't support some features.

Thank you and have fun!
